Trojan Horse
In a similar manner to the historical Trojan Horse of ancient Troy, the modern
Trojan Horse is a common virus, a highly dangerous computer program, that can be implanted
into any computer without the owner's knowledge. Like the original that stood outside the gates of ancient
Troy, the modern virtual Trojan Horse may appear harmless. However, within it lays a legion of
malicious code designed to destroy or control their victim's computer.
Viruses and Trajan Horses can be avoided. See Computer Viruses for more information and specific recommendations.
