Suffix
Domain Suffix
In a domain name, a domain suffix is the last letters after the dot at the end of a URL, or website
address. Another common term for a domain suffix is a file-name extension. Examples are
.com, .net, .au, .ca, .uk, among many others.
Sometimes an online business will be referred to as a 'dot com' for ".com" which is actually a domain
suffix.
