Streaming

The playing of audio and/or video as it arrives in compressed form over the Internet. Any standard computer with a fast connection are necessary. Streaming is accomplished with the aid of a player plug-in (a software program) that decompresses the data as it is downloaded and sends it to be seen and heard. Streaming media is streaming video with sound.
