Plug And Play
Plug 'N Play
P'nP
The ability of some operating systems (O/S's) to automatically detect and identify a new device added to a
system and to access and install the appropriate drivers and system files for that device. This eliminates the need
of the user to go through complicated installation procedures.
Macintosh computers and the Linux O/S have always been plug and play. P'nP is partly supported
by Windows 95, but is fully supported by all Windows O/S's that followed.
