This is the default webpage that is displayed by a browser when it retrieves a domain URL. 

A website's homepage is also called an Index page, because it is the first page on a website that usually indexes at least some of the contents of the website. The sitemap would have a complete listing of contents; the sitemap is usually accessable from the homepage.
