To illustrate: If there were 30 hits, that means that 30 pages (or files) were accessed by one or more visitors. Because each visited file counts as one hit, it is really not possible to determine how many visitors came to the website. However, if you divide the number of hits by, say, three (3), at least you may have a better idea of the number of visitors to your site. See Hit Counter
