FTP
File Transfer Protocol
A long-time method of transfering files over the Internet from one computer to another. FTP programs
include WS_FTP for Windows and Fetch for Mac.
Note: It should be noted that FTP (and Telnet) had fallen
from favor due to serious security issues. However, there is now a secure form of FTP (and Telnet), called
SSH or Secure Shell, in which encrypted connections are used.
