Floppy Disk
Floppy Disc
Floppy
An old form of easily transportable data storage device, a floppy disk
could hold only up to 1.44 MB of data. While quite a small amount of data by today's standards, they
were very commonly used for rebooting a PC, backing up data, transferring data from one computer to another,
and many other uses where a large amount of storage capacity was not needed. No longer popular, the floppy
disk drive no longer comes with new computers. The USB has made the floppy unpractical.
