A Word About Windows Vista^®

If you are thinking of getting a new computer, be aware that if you have games that you already own and use, so called "pre-Vista games," they will prabably not function with Windows Vista.  For gamers, this has been a serious issue. Instead of getting Windows Vista, you may wish to get Windows XP Professional (XP Pro), which is an excellent alternative to Vista, and it will play your pre-Vista games.*

Also: Whenever you buy a new game, read the system requirements on the game box-- make sure the game will play on your computer!

*Note: This assumes your new computer will have its HD partitioned in the same manner. For most, this means NTFS. Most games run on NTFS. However, some older games require the HD to be partitioned using the older FAT 32 file system. If you now have an old computer, it may be Fat 32.
