Archie

Archie use to be the manner in which files could be located in FTP (File Transfer Protocol) servers. Archie, a programe, requires the exact name of the file in order locate it. Web browsers such as Netscape or Interner Explorer are much more forgiving, so searches for FTP files are now more often made by browser.
